Location. The Madison Hotel, located in Washington, D.C., sits only four blocks north of the White House and is within three miles of the Smithsonian Museums, monuments, government buildings and nation's landmarks. Ronald Reagan National Airport is five miles away.

Hotel Features. With a stately style inspired by James and Dolly Madison's Federalist era, the Madison hotel was opened in 1963 and has hosted U.S. presidents, entertainers and corporate travelers. Décor features chandeliers, marble floors and brocade rugs in rich blue and gold tones. Molded ceilings compliment dark wood antique furnishings and the large glass exterior of the quiet lobby adds ambient light. Guests dine on contemporary American fare at the hotel's Palette, which showcases American art and cuisine. At the hotel's Postscript Bar, guests can relax in leather club chairs with glasses of fine Scotch and bourbon and a light meal. The hotel also features a fully equipped fitness center including free weights, cardiovascular equipment, weight training equipments and Pilates classes. Guestrooms. This Washington hotel's 353 guestrooms feature antique reproductions in the Georgian, Federal and American Empire styles.
